Classic Music Video Of The Week

Since I share my birthday with MTV, I’ve always had an interest in music videos. [Insert “remember when MTV actually played music videos” joke here.]

In the early days of MTV and VH1 we used to sit with a blank tape in the VCR and record certain music videos that we liked. Re-watching some of these tapes now at my parent’s house is very amusing.

So here’s a Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers classic for you. Enjoy.

Happy Tuesday.

We used to tape old videos too! Somewhere I've got a tape that has "Can't Let Go" by Mariah Carey, "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" by George Michael featuring Elton John, and...wait for it..."Vibeology" by Paula Abdul. Of course now the hilarious part is that I thought those songs were good! (Actually, I still like "Can't Let Go.")

What's wrong with the singer-songwriter George Michael/Elton John one-two punch combo?? Gotta love it.

I'll have to try to find Vibeology for next week.
